Our Director and Psychologist: Peggy Wong

Peggy is the Director of Hope Haus QLD, a supervised contact service she established to support children and families navigating the challenges of separation. As a registered psychologist, Peggy has worked extensively with children experiencing a range of life difficulties. Hope Haus QLD was created as an extension of her commitment to providing safe, structured, and child-focused environments where children can maintain meaningful family connections during times of change.

Peggy’s approach is warm, intuitive, and child-centred. She brings a deep understanding of children’s emotional needs into her leadership, ensuring that Hope Haus QLD offers a safe, respectful, and supportive space for children and families during supervised contact. She is also actively involved in training and guiding the Family Support Coordinators /Supervisors at Hope Haus QLD, ensuring that all staff uphold the highest standards of professionalism, care, and ethical practice.

In addition to her role at Hope Haus QLD, Peggy is also the Director of Hope Psychology QLD, where she continues to practise as a psychologist and provide therapeutic support to her clients. In line with professional and ethical standards, clear boundaries are maintained between these roles. Peggy does not provide psychological therapy to families who are engaged in supervised contact services through Hope Haus QLD, ensuring there is no dual relationship or conflict of interest. Where appropriate, referrals are made to independent practitioners to support the best interests of each family.

Peggy is a certified facilitator of the Tuning into Kids and 1-2-3- Magic parenting programs, and she enjoys working collaboratively with both children and parents. She is passionate about strengthening parent-child relationships and equipping families with practical tools to navigate challenges with confidence and connection.
